Privacy Policy
Effective September 28, 2026
This policy explains what information JewelOps collects when you use our website and the JewelOps platform (the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies alongside our Terms of Service.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — name, email address, business name and address, role, and the password you set (stored only as a salted hash). Two-factor secrets are stored encrypted.
- Customer data you enter — the inventory, customer, sales, repair and document records your business keeps in the Service. You control this data; we process it on your behalf.
- Billing information — subscription plan and invoice history. Card details are collected and stored by our payments provider, never by us.
- Usage and device information — sign-in times, IP address, browser type, pages visited and error reports, used to secure and improve the Service.
- Website enquiries — details you send through our demo, migration or contact forms.
2. How we use it
- To provide, operate and support the Service, including sign-in, invitations, receipts and notifications.
- To bill subscriptions and prevent fraud and abuse (for example, rate limiting sign-in attempts).
- To keep an audit trail of changes inside your workspace so your business can see who did what.
- To improve reliability and fix errors, using aggregated or pseudonymised usage data where possible.
- To respond to enquiries and send service announcements. We do not sell personal information.
3. Who we share it with
We use trusted providers to run the Service — cloud hosting and database, file storage for photos and documents, transactional email, payment processing and error monitoring. They process data only on our instructions. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our customers and the Service.
4. Your customers’ information
When you store your customers’ personal information in the Service, you are the controller of that data and we act as your processor. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect it and for honouring your customers’ requests; we will assist where our tools can (export, correction and deletion within your workspace).
5. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest with our hosting providers. Access inside the Service is limited by workspace and by role, sign-ins are protected by rate limiting and optional two-factor authentication, and platform administrators must use two-factor authentication. No system is perfectly secure; tell us at support@getjewelops.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
6. Retention
We keep account and workspace data for as long as your subscription is active. After it ends we retain the data for a reasonable period so the workspace can be reactivated or exported, then delete it. Audit and billing records may be kept longer where the law requires.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you are, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. Account owners can export their workspace data from the Service; for anything else, contact us and we will respond within the time the applicable law requires.
8. Cookies
The platform uses strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to protect forms. The marketing website does not use advertising cookies.
9. Changes
We will post updates to this policy here and, for material changes, notify account owners by email.
